SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPER [Pamphlet Download]
Biomedical Engineering covers the application of any form of engineering to the field of biology and medicine, from sub-cellular level to the scale of hospital administration. The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Biomedical Division is calling a 3-day conference for students and colleagues in the field to share their results of advances in biomedical engineering. The program consists of a two-day conference (Sept 21-22) and a one-day technical visit (Sept 23).
Submissions
of original work regarding the application of any aspects of engineering to
the medical field are now invited. Papers that draw significant conclusions
from practical experience are especially welcomed.

YOUNG ENGINEER PAPER COMPETITION
Prizes
will be awarded to
the Best
Student
Papers
(work conducted as part of undergraduate or postgraduate
degree courses).
Award will be given to the Best Young Engineer Paper in each of the five
different Biomedical Engineering fields. Submissions for this competition should have Submission

marked clearly at the head of the abstract. Young engineers who wish to
have their work considered for this award should be prepared to present
their paper in-person
at the Conference.

in English. l

papers must follow the Paper Format instructions as shown on the

submitted with a duly completed Paper Submission Form (i.e. this
form), otherwise the paper will be rejected. l

Papers to be submitted for BME 2006 Proceedings must follow these instructions.
Only papers prepared according to these instructions
will be published. The
Paper Format can also be downloaded in MS

and PDF versions.
