Analysis, Selection and Processing of Materials for Biomedical Applications

In 2008, Dr KO is a Principal Consultant responsible for the P&L for the materials processing unit in the Materials Technology Division at the Hong Kong Productivity.

In 2007, as the Vice–President of Quality, Transition and Re-engineering of Genpact-Asia in Dalian, took the opportunity to re-install the Quality Infrastructure of the various companies in Dalian, Shanghai, and Changchun. Genpact is a listed multi-national company in which General Electric is one of the major shareholders. he also set-up Black Belt certification system and trainings for 900+ LEAN, 700+ for Green Belt Six Sigma and some 50+ Black Belt Six Sigma Training. In this period, he has qualified some Green belts and one Master Black belt. Also, took active part into building the Manufacturing vertical expertise for Business Process Re-engineering Consulting Projects. External customers engaged included large MNC such as Nissan, Cadbury, Pfizer, Honeywell, AEM-Tech in Singapore etc…

From 1996-1999, as engineering director for Hong Kong Stationary Manufacturing Co. Ltd, and from 2001-2006, promoted as manufacturing & technical Director, responsible for the P&L of 3 factories (2 started from zero base) with 2500+ staff in Foshan-China, drove new products and processes (metal, plastics and paper) development, ERP and TQM, success in 5S and 6sigma implementation and certified for ISO9002 and LGA. He was a Principal Consultant (Metallurgical Unit) from 1999-2000 at the Hong Kong Productivity Council advising factories in engineering excellence and a Part-time Lecturer for 5 years (from 1996-2001) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Mechanical Engineering Design and Manufacturing, and finite element method applications.

From 1981-1995, engaged in Engineering and Research for SKF in the Netherlands, built Finite Element Team and Project led many international project management on Automotive Bearing Products design and manufacturing, and 10 years experience in shaping and developing strategies for multi-sites factories in Europe.
