Roadmap of Medical and Healthcare Device Industry in Hong Kong

Ir John MOK is the co-founder and Chairman of Automatic Manufacturing Limited (AML). AML is an international renowned design and manufacturing services provider of electronics products, ranging from medical & electronic diagnostic devices, automotive electronics, office equipments & telecom products, industrial controls, and home automation products.

Ir John MOK actively takes part in various organizations that are crucial to HK industrial development. He was appointed as panel judge of HK Governor’s Design Award (1973 to 1975), Plastic Advisor to HK Government Industry Department (1987 to 1992) and Industry Advisor to HK Trade Development Council (1992 to 2007).

He is currently the founding Chairman of HK Medical and Healthcare Device Manufacturers Association and Deputy Chairman of Biomedical Division, the HK Institution of Engineers (HKIE). He is also the Chairman of Advisory Committee on EIE Department of PolyU, Chairman of Advisory Committee of Research Institute Of Innovative Products & Technologies, PolyU; Industry Advisory Committee Chairman Of Biomedical Engineering, HKU, and industry advisory of CityU and CU. He is a Council Member of HK Institute of Director (HKIoD) and Fellow Member of The HKIE and The HKIoD.

Ir John MOK’s contribution is well recognized by the community. He has led AML to win the 2004 HK Award for Industry: Quality Grand Award and 2005 HK Awards for Industries: Productivity & Quality Award. He also won the HKIoD, Directors of the Year Award 2005, and HK Mould & Die Council Award 2007 for Operation Excellence.
