Post-market Surveillance of Medical Devices

Mr LAU graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1981. After working for the Mass Transit Railway Corporation and Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation for 7 years, he has joined the Hong Kong Government since 1988. At present, he is the Senior Electronics Engineer in charge of the Medical Device Control Office under the Department of Health and is responsible for the development and implementation of the regulatory framework for medical devices in Hong Kong.

Mr LAU is currently the Hong Kong representative to the Technical Committee of Asian Harmonization Working Party and the Chair of the Working Group 2 – Post-market Surveillance and Vigilance. He is also a Chartered Engineer, a Certified Clinical Engineer and members of The Institution of Engineering and Technology and The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers.
