Keynote Speakers
Dr Jason Brockwell is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip & pelvic surgery.
He graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School, in his native UK, in 1989.
After working for a few years in England, he did most of his post-graduate orthopaedic training at the Department of Orthopaedics of the University of Hong Kong.
He is a member of asia medical specialists – a team of sub-specialised orthopaedic and general surgeons in private practice in Hong Kong.
Dr Brockwell deals mainly with young adult hip problems, and has been performing hip arthroscopy since 2000 and hip resurfacing since 2003.
He teaches both hip arthroscopy and hip resurfacing locally and internationally.
He introduced hip resurfacing to Hong Kong in 2003 and, along with other Asian surgeons, has successfully extended its indications to include avascular necrosis of the femoral head.
He has been closely following the development of hip resurfacing worldwide.
