| Introduction : |
|
| 3G Hide and Seek is a Mobile
Online Community. It provides a fun way of mobile
communications and social network building using
3G location technology. Users can construct their
Avatar to match the dress on a particular day,
so that the Avatar dress will be similar to the
players' dress, publish their location using 3G
and seek for each other in the Real World based
on the Avatar setting. For example players in
a pub can meet each other by looking at the Avatar. |
|
| Originality: |
|
| 3G Hide and Seek is an original
idea from M-Gen Mobile Technology Ltd. Currently
there had not been a commercialized mobile software
that had try to link the Real-world and Virtual
World using 3G location-based technology. It is
built on M-Gen's own proprietary, commercially
successful 3G location-based platform. |
|
| Creativity : |
|
| This Mobile Community links
together the Virtual World and Real World. Users'
wanted to meet Real World friends may construct
their Virtual World character (Avatar) to dress
as same as its Real identity on a particular day.
This concept can only be accomplished on Mobile
and with a mature 3G location-based network, thanks
to the unique edge of Hong Kong to enable us to
realize this creative concept. |
|
| Entertainment Value
: |
|
| Building social network and
making friend is more fun than ever. Virtual friend
met on the Net can now be visualized by personalized
Avatars, and can be seek by location. New friends
can be met by Nearby-Friend-of-a-Friend alert,
so that users not only can meet their own friends
in the same location, but also his/her own friends'
friends. Now there will be no boundary between
the Virtual World and Real World - Meet Virtual
Friends in the Real World! |
|
| Technology : |
|
| 3G Hide and Seek is build
on M-Gen's proprietary EWAP (Easy Wireless Application
Packager) engine. The technology behind EWAP includes
mainly Java (J2ME, J2EE, SOAP) and Linux, Apache,
MySQL, PHP (LAMP). The EWAP engine is also the
technology behind M-Gen's previous 3G products
which are awards winning both local and international
including Forum Nokia PRO Awards 2005. |
|
| Business Potential: |
|
| As the Chinese Government
has just announced the approval of TD-SCDMA as
the national 3G standard, it is speculated that
3G will be launched in mainland China very soon.
This product is targeted at the mainland China
market where mobile phone users are generally
skillful in mobile phone text input and where
data charge is low (In China data package is as
low as RMB10 per month unlimited access). By making
communications fun and not being "just a
mobile game", we believe the potential market
will be much larger than normal mobile entertainment
products. |
