Background:
The management of a garment sourcing company aimed to achieve Human Resources Excellence (HRE) and to enhance efficiency and productivity through a series of human resources initiatives and process improvement.

Solution:
Through the Human Resources Excellence Programme, HKPC assisted the Company to strengthen their human resources mindset and enhance the skills and knowledge of its managerial and supervisory staff.

Deliverables:
Recruitment Process Review:
- recruitment strategy formulation for manpower planning, talent management for succession planning, and establishment of career development plans
Training Needs Analysis:
- training needs diagnosis (through focus groups and interviews), formulation of training plans and a training effectiveness measurement mechanism
- in-house training workshops tailored for different levels of staff
Performance Appraisal System (PAS) Review:
- development of core competency models, integration of core competency models with the performance appraisal system, simulated exercises on new appraisal systems, and appraisal training for all levels of staff
Reward & Recognition System and Strategy review:
- review of job descriptions, studies on grading structure, salary benchmarking and review of corporate bonus incentive schemes
