Consultancy Service on Building Performance Appraisal System for a Trading Company

Background:
The client is an international company which deals with a wide range of products from food to clothing. It has operations in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland.
They would like to establish an effective and formal management system to evaluate individual work performance and competence, with the assessment results linked to the reward and recognition system.

Solution:
HKPC assisted the client to build a performance appraisal system and develop a performance-driven culture for business excellence.

Deliverables:
Development of core competency lists for managerial and non-managerial staff, clearly defining the behaviour indicators and standardizing the rating criteria for different competency levels
Establishment of a performance rating system, a performance appraisal form, a performance appraisal calendar and compilation of a performance appraisal guidebook
Training workshops on performance appraisal interviewing skills and policy deployment concept and practices
A post-implementation system review to ensure smooth operation of the new system and to resolve problems
