Background:
A well-established local transportation company would like to build a positive and supportive corporate culture to achieve its vision, mission and values (VMV), and to strengthen its market leader position.

Solutions:
Through the Performance Excellence Programme, HKPC assisted the Company to develop and adopt a new corporate culture.
HKPC revisited its corporate VMV, produced a video on its corporate culture with key messages from the top management, developed a Core Competency Model for managerial, supervisory and general staff, conducted corporate culture leadership workshops and train-the-trainer programmes for change agents to ensure the continuous cascading of messages on the desirable corporate culture within the company.

Deliverables:
HKPC conducted site visits and meetings with the client's steering committee and working group members to enhance communication and gauge their comments.
HKPC conducted briefing sessions, focus group meetings (with competency questionnaires) and corporate culture leadership workshops for the development of the Core Competency Model and provided training to foster a desirable corporate culture.
A Core Competency Directory on the key behavioral indicators for each grade of staff was compiled.
Monthly Progress Reports were issued to all staff to keep them informed of the progress of the project.
A training kit was developed and train-the-trainer workshops were conducted to facilitate future cascading of cultural change message to other staff.

Benefits:
With adequate channels of communication and staff consultation, the Company was able to gain support and acceptance from its staff members for the Change Programme.
The Company was able to implement a cost-effective in-house Change Programme.
The train-the-trainer programme has facilitated knowledge transfer from external experts to the Company's in-house project members.
