The world's electronics companies are facing ever more stringent green rules, such as the European Union's directive on Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) which came into full implementation in EU states on 1 July 2006. The Mainland's answer to RoHS, namely a regulation governing “Management Methods for the Prevention and Control of Pollution from Production of Electronic Information Products", or popularly known as "China RoHS".will be enforced on 1 March 2007.
In order to remain competitive in the global market, you need a good grasp of these environmental requirements.
Read the "RoHS Reference Guide" published by HKPC. It contains information on the latest European laws derived from this EU directive, relevant penalties, case studies and a summary of the "RoHS Enforcement Guidance" issued by the EU in May 2006. This bilingual booklet is available in English as well as traditional and simplified Chinese versions.
This Guide comes with a free copy of the "China RoHS Supplement" published by HKPC. It explains the main requirements of China RoHS as as well its differences from its EU counterpart.
