The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) today (21 May 2008) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Ministry of Advanced Education and Technology, Government of Alberta, Canada, to strengthen collaboration between HKPC and Alberta-based technology companies.
At the signing ceremony, Dr Stephen Lee, Director (Technology Development) of HKPC, said: "Under this agreement, HKPC will assist Alberta-based technology companies seeking to commercially apply their innovation and services in Hong Kong and Mainland through the Council's services including business matching, consultancy, product modification and system integration."
Under the agreement, both parties will jointly promote the development of commercial technologies and new export opportunities in the areas of information and communication technology, nanotechnology, water management, environmental monitoring and management. Alberta-based technology companies will also explore commercialization, growth and co-development activities with Hong Kong enterprises.
