Parametric Based Jewelry Component CAD Database

Key Features
- From design to prototyping, jewellery production relies heavily on the craftsman, which makes it difficult to control the time and cost of production.

- To address this problem, HKPC and the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association have jointly developed a "Parametric Based Jewelry Component CAD Database".

- The system shortens the procedures from design to sample making, as the designer can make real-time adjustments in materials and colours on the computer, which produces lifelike pictures of the design.

- The system enables more effective control of production cost as it can accurately calculate the amount of materials needed.

- The Database comprises different categories: basic jewellery components, gemstones, jewellery products for women, jewellery products for men, and computerized modeling, colouring and animation.
