Partnership Objectives:
With the active support of HKPC, Hong Kong Electrical Appliances Manufacturers Association (HKEAMA) was established in 1998 as a non-profit-making trade association for Hong Kong's electrical appliances manufacturers. The objectives of the Association include:
To enhance communication and co-operation among members and to establish liaison with and convey collective opinions to government bodies, industrial and trade organizations
To serve the interest, build up the reputation and promote the image and capabilities of Hong Kong's electrical appliances industry
To assist in upgrading the technology, engineering and management skills of the industry so as to improve its performance and enhance its competitiveness in the international market
To establish contacts with overseas organizations of similar nature and to provide platforms for members to develop business relationships with overseas buyers and potential joint-venture partners
Nature of Partnership:
HKPC has provided secretariat support to HKEAMA since its inauguration in 1998. HKPC also assists in the organization and implementation of various projects and activities to help the Association achieve its objectives in providing developmental support to the local electrical appliances industry.

Details on the partnership:
In addition to providing secretariat support, HKPC actively collaborated with HKEAMA on various projects and activities that would benefit the local electrical appliances industry. These included government funded projects supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) and Trade and Industry Department (TID) to enhance the technology, product development and management capabilities of the local electrical appliances industry.
Programmes and events to support the industry were also organized. These included popularization schemes in CAD/CAM, computer aided industry design and rapid prototyping technologies and systems, "Electrical Appliances Week", "Hong Kong Home Appliances Design and Innovation Competition", overseas study missions and seminars.
