HKPC Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Centre (Futian)
Overview
The Hong Kong Productivity Council Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Centre (Futian) (SITC) is a public institution jointly formed by HKPC and the Futian Government Technology and Innovation Bureau in Shenzhen in 2019. Riding on the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Co-operation Zone, a major platform for national cooperation of technological innovation, it aims to foster innovation and a higher level of cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. SITC commits to better promote Hong Kong's integration into the overall development of the country, and proactively become a participant in domestic circulation and a facilitator in international circulation amidst the “dual circulation” development strategy.
SITC is positioned as a support platform for Shenzhen-Hong Kong scientific research cooperation and talent exchange. Its businesses include providing non-profit paid public services, such as technology research and application for smart products, smart manufacturing, smart environmental protection and energy, smart services, smart city solutions, artificial intelligence and robotics, big data and other related fields, talent training, innovation and entrepreneurship support.
SITC provides Hong Kong companies with technological innovation services and assists them in applying for Mainland government funding. It also cooperates with Hong Kong companies to apply for technology cooperation projects in the Greater Bay Area and organises talent exchange activities. At the same time, it provides intellectual property, technological innovation and other related consulting and training services to enhance productivity of Mainland China companies and help them enter Hong Kong or international markets.
