Job Duties:

  • Implement APAS R&D Centre technology roadmap in Smart Mobility initiative and related products, focus especially on works on the mechanical design for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles component/sub-system
  • Prepare technical drawings and arrange quotation / outsourcing issues for prototypes development
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of the product BOM
  • Design tools/jigs/fixtures that assist the manufacture and assembly of the products
  • Liaise with suppliers on technical issues
  • Manage development tasks and work with the team on adhoc projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering / Design or related disciplines from a local university, and fresh graduates will also be welcome
  • Excellent skills in CAD software, i.e. Solidworks, CATIA, etc.
  • Hands-on skill of making prototype in house
  • Relevant working experience an advantage but not essential
  • Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Willing to learn and with good team spirit
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua a plus

This is a position funded by the Internship Programme of the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) R&D project from March 2020 to September 2021.


HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
