BUD Fund To help Hong Kong enterprises capture the opportunities arising from the National 12th Five-Year Plan, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government set up a “Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestics Sales” (the BUD Fund) of $1 billion in June 2012, to provide funding support to individual Hong Kong enterprises in undertaking projects to develop brands, upgrade and restructure their business operations and promote sales in the ASEAN market and Mainland China market, so as to enhance their competitiveness and facilitate their business development in the ASEAN and Mainland China market.
Recycling Fund Since its launch in October 2015, Recycling Fund of $1 billion has been promoting the recovery and recycling of waste by facilitating the upgrading of the operational capabilities and efficiency of the recycling industry for sustainable development.
CPPP In April 2008, the Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong SAR (EPD) launched the Cleaner Production Partnership Programme (the Programme) in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangding Province to encourage and facilitate Hong Kong-owned factories in Guangdong and Hong Kong to adopt cleaner production (CP) technologies and practices, thereby contributing to improving the environment. The Programme has been extended until 31 March 2020 with a funding of $150 million by EPD.
RETAAS The Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the HKSAR Government sets aside $50 million for Retail Technology Adoption Assistance Scheme for Manpower Demand Management (ReTAAS) in December 2014, to provide funding support for retail enterprises to adopt technologies for manpower demand management purposes and help to enhance productivity.
