Transport and Logistics Bureau - Logo

Background

With a view to maintaining competitiveness of Hong Kong's logistics sector, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (the Government) launched the “Pilot Subsidy Scheme for Third-party Logistics Service Providers” (the Pilot Scheme) on 12 October 2020 to encourage the adoption of technology by the logistics sector for enhancing efficiency and productivity. The Pilot Scheme also covers the purchase of screening equipment including X-ray machines and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment under the Regulated Air Cargo Screening Facilities (RACSFs) Scheme accepted by the Civil Aviation Department.

The Transport and Logistics Bureau (TLB) has engaged the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) as the Implementation Partner to serve as the Secretariat for the Pilot Scheme. A Management Committee (MC) comprising members from the trade, industrial and professional sectors has been set up to assess and approve applications. Please click here for the membership of the MC.

For more information regarding RACSF Scheme and the latest version of screening equipment approved by the Civil Aviation Department, please refer to their website here.

LOGTECH Expo 2024

To help local logistics SMEs to keep abreast of the latest technological trends in the industry, support the logistics sector in nurturing more professionals for upgrading and transformation, and encourage the development of the industry towards smart and green logistics by making good use of government funding support, the Transport and Logistics Bureau will organise the “LOGTECH Expo 2024” (the Expo) on 12 – 13 June 2024 at HKPC Building, Kowloon Tong, with the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) as the implementation partner of the Expo.

As mentioned in the Action Plan on Modern Logistics Development promulgated by the HKSAR Government in October last year, this year’s Expo will feature not only exhibition booths and seminars that showcase logistics technology, but also those that introduce trainings on smart and green logistics. In addition, thematic guided tours and interactive experience sessions as well as on-site support for application for government funding schemes will be provided to participants. Moreover, expert speakers from diverse backgrounds will explore with participants through panel discussions how to make the best use of government funding for enterprises to upgrade and transform towards smart and green logistics to enhance efficiency and productivity.
