Digital Transformation

Reindustrialisation involves a digital transformation to help enterprises progress towards performing high value functions in the industrial value chain. This is the key first step to reindustrialisation in Hong Kong.

Smart Mobility

Over the years, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and its Automotive Platforms and Application Systems (APAS) R&D Centre has been striving to undertake different R&D programmes to enhance the competitiveness of the local automotive parts and accessory systems industry. Besides, APAS also aims at to commercialise R&D results, to promote the development of the industry, and to help Hong Kong companies explore new business opportunities arising from smart mobility.

Green Technology

One of the most important elements of “reindustrialisation” is to assist existing manufacturing industries with adopting smart and clean production, to minimise impacts on the environment. Cleaner production is an investment not an expense. Reducing the pollution from source can enhance energy efficiency and bring economic benefits to businesses.

Food Technology

Food quality and safety are key concerns among consumers today. Advanced food technologies provide novel solutions of food sterilization and preservation to industry, to achieve better food safety and food nutrition preservation in the pursuit of healthy living.

Ageing has a significant impact to the living quality of all of us. Advanced technology today can help solve problems in the everyday lives for the elderly, and provide an environment that is healthy, comfortable and safe for them. In light of this, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has initiated Hong Kong’s first GeronTech Cluster, named GLink. With its aim to facilitate exchange of information among industry practitioners, strengthen the development of GeronTech and promote smart ageing in the community, GLink has allied with industry and community stakeholders with common goal on this topic.

Corporate Substainabilty

According to the World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED), sustainability was defined as development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs, aiming to harmonise three core elements: economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection.

Testing & Standards

Testing and standards are crucial to providing quality service, ensuring safety and reliability, and creating customer confidence. The testing and certification industry has been playing an increasingly significant role due to more stringent environmental and safety regulations.
