Electromagnetic Compatibility Centre
Introduction
The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Centre offers the most comprehensive EMC testing facilities in Hong Kong. As an independent testing laboratory, the EMC Centre offers full compliance testing services according to various national/regional standards, as well as pre-compliance testing to assist manufacturers to achieve compliance during the design stage.

Objectives
To enable local manufacturers to shorten the new product development cycle time by addressing EMC compliance during the design stage (pre-compliance testing).
To enable certification bodies/test laboratories to conduct full compliance tests locally in order to shorten the turnaround time for product certification.

EMC Centre
EMC Centre is accredited by Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) under the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) against ISO/IEC 17025 (for specific activities as listed in HOKLAS Directory of Accredited Laboratories) in order to offer high-quality and comprehensive EMC testing services to Hong Kong industries as according to latest EMC international standards such as EN, IEC, ISO, CISPR, FCC, etc. As an independent testing laboratory, EMC Centre provides decent testing services to the industries in full or pre-compliance formats. Laboratory facilities may also be booked on a walk-in basis for on-the-spot troubleshooting.

- 10m Semi-anechoic Chamber for radiated emission testing up to 40GHz
- 3m Fully anechoic chamber for radiated immunity testing
- 3m Multi-functional anechoic chamber for radiated emission testing up to 40Ghz and 10 V/m radiated immunity testing up to 6GHz
- 9m x 4m x 2m shielded room for conducted emission testing
- 3m x 3m x 2.1m shielded rooms for electrostatic discharge (ESD) test and RF related testing
- Two set of waveguide horn antennas and frequency multipliers for frequency ranges from 40 to 60GHz and from 60 to 90GHz
- Full set of Electric transient signal generators for electrostatic discharge test, electric fast transient/burst immunity tests, surge immunity tests, and voltage dips, short interruptions and short interruption immunity test sets
- Transient conduction electrical disturbance measurement and immunity test system for automotive electronic & electrical equipment
- Harmonic / Flicker Analyzer for Harmonic current and Voltage flicker measurement
- Low frequency immunity test system from 15 Hz to 150 kHz for Railway equipment of standard IEC / EN 61000-4-16
