Hong Kong Joint Research Lab for Applications of Intelligent Automation Technology
The Hong Kong Joint Research Lab for Applications of Intelligent Automation Technology is jointly established by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), the Department of Automation of Tsinghua University and the Tsinghua Pearl River Delta Research Institute.
Leveraging the complementary strengths of the three parties in technological R&D and commercialization across automation, artificial intelligence, information technology and robotics, the laboratory conducts joint research and development targeting the practical needs of Hong Kong enterprises. Its key research areas include artificial intelligence, special-purpose robots, big data analysis and applications, as well as intelligent manufacturing.
The laboratory is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of local enterprises, fostering emerging industries, advancing new-type industrialization, and actively promoting scientific, technological and industrial cooperation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
