(Hong Kong, 24 July 2025) The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has been dedicated to nurturing local innovation and technology (I&T) talent, while also attracting overseas elites to strengthen the talent pool, aligning with the HKSAR Government's vision of promoting Hong Kong as an international hub for high-calibre talents. HKPC has received a total of 2,577 applications for the "2025 Summer InnoTalent Programme" (Internship Programme), marking the highest record to date. After several rounds of interviews and selections, 42 outstanding InnoTalents have been selected for the nine-week Internship Programme, resulting in an acceptance rate of only 1.6%, highlighting the programme’s intense competition.
Key Highlights:

Meanwhile, HKPC has arranged a series of sharing sessions and FutureSkills training workshops, allowing the InnoTalents to engage closely with senior management and industry experts and visits some smart manufacturing projects in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area, to gain in-depth understanding of how technological innovation drive industrial transformation. Among the activities, Mr Mohamed BUTT, Executive Director of HKPC, and Mr Brian WONG, Chief People and Culture Officer of HKPC have shared insights on career planning, FutureSkills, and global innovation trends with InnoTalents. The Internship Programme will conclude in a graduation ceremony in August, where InnoTalents will showcase their "Dare to Try" group projects, transforming nine-weeks of learning and insights into innovative, actionable technology projects.
