Hong Kong Industrial Drone Technology Centre

HKPC launched Hong Kong Industrial Drone Technology Centre (HKIDTC) in 2021, aiming to commercialise and promote advanced Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA)/drone technologies and the relevant applications in HKSAR Government sectors, industrial, construction, and manufacturing organisations, as this is one of the essential FutureSkills for enterprises to upskilling to new industrialisation and industry 4.0 (i4.0).

  • Provide professional drone pilot services
  • Serve as the first advanced rating pilot training organisation approved by the Civil Aviation Department (CAD)
  • Conduct surveying, inspection, flight route optimisation and autonomous flight mission
  • Develop for various sectors drone applications via machine vision, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), conditional monitoring, etc.

Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA) Advanced Rating Training (appointed by Civil Aviation Department)

Hong Kong Productivity Council is one of the Training Organisations working with Civil Aviation Department (CAD) on the pilot scheme of SUA Advanced Rating Training Course. In this course, syllabus is based on the requirements of Advanced Rating Training from CAD. Pilot Scheme assists participants to understand the safety oversight requirements and applications for conducting advanced operations, as well as improving operation safety, monitoring skills and risk awareness, so as to enable graduates to apply for CAD Advanced Rating under the new legislation in a long run.
