HKPC Fully Supports the Legislative Council Election and Provides Special Half-Day Leave for Voting Employees to Encourage Active Participation in Voting

(Hong Kong, 13 November 2025) — The 2025 Legislative Council Election will be held on 7 December (Sunday). In response to the Government’s call for full support of the election, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will provide a special half-day leave for employees who participate in voting on election day. This initiative aims to encourage eligible voter employees and their family members to actively cast their votes, fulfilling their civic responsibilities and contributing to the future development of Hong Kong.

The Legislative Council is an essential component of the governance structure of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The new Legislative Council election holds significant importance in its direct impact on Hong Kong’s economic development and the well-being of its citizens, thereby closely linking to the future of every resident. HKPC calls on all partners in the I&T sector and all eligible voters in Hong Kong to actively participate in voting, supporting Hong Kong’s future development with concrete actions and working together to create a more prosperous and competitive Hong Kong. Looking ahead, HKPC will continue to collaborate with all sectors of society to seize the development opportunities brought about by the national 15th Five-Year Plan and promote Hong Kong’s prosperity and progress.

Voters can cast their ballots at their assigned polling stations from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm on 7 December, the polling day.
