(Hong Kong, 2 February 2023) The HKSAR Government has been proactively strengthening I&T development in recent years, where talent is one of the key factors for the success of I&T industry. The HKPC Academy of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has organised the “Play 4 Performance” corporate training day recently to showcase new interactive training solutions that combine gamification and technological applications to enhance employees’ technological know-how, team spirit and soft skills, so as to support the upcoming I&T development trend and equip local talent for the future.
The “Play 4 Performance” corporate training day was well received and attracted over 100 participants from different corporate training departments in the financial, retail and food services, travel and aviation, information technology, government and education sectors etc. Participants were able to experience over 10 training solutions, including AR/VR technology, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, !nside Cards, Metaverse, etc. Participants were also invited to try out drones, robots, handmade crafts and visit the brand new “TechEd Playground” to learn about the latest TechEd solutions. Through “Play 4 Performance” training programmes, employees can improve their critical thinking skills, enhance team spirit, as well as learn about the applications of innovative tech products. In addition, companies could also take advantage of HKPC’s advanced technology and sophisticated training venues for organising future training programmes, so as to enhance the overall training effectiveness.
HKPC Academy has been sparing no efforts in nurturing local talent. In 2021-2022, over 700 online and offline training programmes were organised for various government departments, public and private sector enterprises, training over 30,000 people to quickly acquire new technology and management knowledge. Programmes covering digital and management skills under the “FutureSkills” framework, including Web 3.0, Cloud Technology, Digital Marketing, Python Programming and Cyber Security are being introduced to facilitate organisations in adopting digital transformation.

HKPC Academy currently offers programmes in 14 key areas under the “FutureSkills” framework, including digital and management skills courses in Cyber Security, Cloud Technology, Digital Marketing, Smart Logistics and Data Management, to help Hong Kong companies equip talent with FutureSkills and international perspective.
