(Hong Kong, 3 November 2025) — The 2025 Legislative Council Election will be held on 7 December (Sunday). The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) is actively responding to the Government’s call to fully support the election, and sincerely encourages all eligible voters in Hong Kong to cast their votes, fulfill their civic responsibility, and contribute to Hong Kong’s future.
The Legislative Council is a crucial part in the governance structure of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The new Legislative Council election carries the important mission of driving Hong Kong’s long-term development. Active voter participation will help elect visionary, responsible, and passionate legislators, fully implement the principle of “patriots governing Hong Kong,” promote policy reforms, and inject new momentum into Hong Kong society.
HKPC has always worked closely with various sectors to jointly promote Hong Kong as an international innovation and technology (I&T) hub. In alignment with government strategies, HKPC focuses on R&D and application of innovative technologies, new industrialisation, SME support, and helping enterprises go global. We actively serve as a bridge to foster the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, cultivate new productive forces, and enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong’s industries. HKPC calls on all staff, partners in the I&T sector and all eligible voters in Hong Kong to actively participate in voting, supporting Hong Kong’s future development with concrete actions and working together to create a more prosperous and competitive Hong Kong. Looking ahead, we will continue to collaborate with all sectors of society to seize the development opportunities brought about by the national 15th Five-Year Plan and promote Hong Kong’s prosperity and progress.
The nomination period for the election is now open and will end on 6 November. Voters can cast their ballots at their assigned polling stations from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm on 7 December, the polling day.
