“AI with HKPC” Smart AI Solutions Showcase Series Returns with Nearly 50 AI Solutions Spotlights Smart Manufacturing, Innovative Public Services and AI Training for All

(Hong Kong, 11 May 2026) In active response to the national “AI+” initiative and aligning with the HKSAR Government’s 2026 Budget strategies on AI-empowered industries, the digital transformation of public services, and “AI for All” training, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will bring back the “AI with HKPC” Smart AI Solutions Showcase Series on 21 May 2026. Following the strong reception to the inaugural event in February, this edition will focus on three emerging themes—“AI × Smart Manufacturing,” “Innovative Public Services,” and “AI for All” Training. Through nearly 50 cutting-edge AI solution demonstrations, themed exchange sessions, and hands-on workshops, the event will help enterprises and organisations seize policy-driven opportunities and advance smart transformation.

Hon Sunny TAN, Chairman of HKPC said: “The national ‘AI+’ initiative has set a target of achieving over 70% penetration for intelligent terminal applications and AI agent by 2027. The HKSAR Government is also actively promoting deep integration of AI across economic and social sectors. As industry’s best partner, HKPC will continue to leverage the ‘AI with HKPC’ Smart AI Solutions Showcase Series to bring safe, practical and deployable AI solutions to all stakeholders. From smart manufacturing to public services, from business operations to talent development, we look forward to walking alongside all sectors to capture the transformation opportunities driven by AI.”

Three Thematic Areas with Nearly 50 AI Solutions, Precisely Addressing Different Transformation Needs

  1. AI for Manufacturing: Redefining Productivity in the AI Era
AI is propelling manufacturing toward intelligent, data-driven production. Tailored for the manufacturing community, this theme features HKPC experts and industry leaders sharing AI application solutions and real-world experiences, exploring ways to boost productivity, quality and competitiveness. Highlights include industrial-grade AI platforms and embodied intelligence applications, smart warehousing, and upgrade opportunities and deployment strategies for AI in traditional manufacturing.
  2. Innovating Public Services, Driving the AI Transformation
In support of the Government’s strategy to accelerate the digital transformation of public services, this theme targets Government departments, public and utilities organisations, as well as the healthcare and social welfare sectors. Through expert talks and real case studies, it will examine how AI can enhance operational efficiency and service quality, help public institutions overcome resource constraints, and identify safe and reliable AI solutions for real pain points.
  3. FutureSkills: AI Training for ALL
The latest Standard Chartered Hong Kong SME Leading Business Index shows that over half (51%) of SMEs seeking to fill vacancies expect applicants to have AI skills, reflecting that AI competency has become an important hiring criterion. The HKSAR Government has rolled out “AI for All” training strategies, and HKPC will fully support the effort by popularising AI awareness and applications among enterprises and the public, strengthening AI literacy, and nurturing AI talent. Designed for HR professionals, business leaders and educators, this theme offers interactive AI solution showcases to explore new human–AI collaborative workplace ecosystems, team transformation and talent development solutions, providing inspiring experiences for both first-time AI users and professionals already using AI tools.

To spur innovative AI applications, each category will also select a “Best Use of AI” award to recognise entries that achieve outstanding results through AI in their respective fields.
