HKPC Extends Half-Price Concessions Measures to Support SMEs’ Upgrading and Transformation Driving Hong Kong’s Sustainable Economic Growth

(Hong Kong, 24 March 2026) In line with the spirit of this year's national “Two Sessions” and the strategic direction outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will continue to support local SMEs in seizing the development opportunities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period and accelerating their transformation, upgrading and market expansion through innovative technologies. To this end, HKPC is pleased to announce the extension of half-price concession for local SMEs, as well as the concession for enterprises applying for relevant new industrialisation funding schemes*. The special offer will be valid from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Further details are as follows:

  1. Price concession to local SMEs: a 50% concession to the list price of the labour portion will be offered, covering consultancy services and testing services
  2. Special offer to New Industrialisation Funding Scheme (NIFS) applicants: a 30% concession to the list price will be offered to the applied or intend-to-apply enterprises on consultancy services, applied technology projects and one-stop solution
  3. Special offer to New Industrialisation Acceleration Scheme (NIAS) applicants: a 30% concession to the list price will be offered to the applied or intend-to-apply enterprises on consultancy services, applied technology projects and one-stop solution

 

Mr Mohamed BUTT, Executive Director of HKPC, said, “SMEs are one of the key pillars in Hong Kong’s economic development. The 2026-27 Budget introduces a range of measures that address the SMEs’ funding needs regarding upgrading, transformation, and market expansion, while strengthening support for enterprises in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to drive transformation. HKPC continuously aligns with the HKSAR Government to deliver tailored assistance to the local SMEs. We fully recognise the vital role of technological transformation in helping local enterprises to expand into the global market. By extending the concessionary relief measures, we aim to encourage SMEs to pursue upgrading and transformation. Together with our The Cradle – Go Global Service Centre, and the Hong Kong Technology and Innovation Support Centre for patent and intellectual property services, HKPC is dedicated to providing all-rounded support to help enterprises to go global and power Hong Kong’s long term economic development.”
