HKPC Showcases Green Innovative Technologies at ReThink HK 2026 Demonstrating Low-carbon and ESG Solutions Empowers Enterprises to Accelerate Green Transformation

(Hong Kong, 11 September 2026) The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) participated in ReThink HK 2026, Asia’s leading climate action and sustainable development expo, held from 10 to 11 September, showcasing a range of green innovative technologies and low-carbon transformation solutions for enterprises. In alignment with the national 15th Five-Year Plan, which calls for accelerated green and low-carbon economic development and the adoption of sustainable production and lifestyle practices, as well as the HKSAR Government’s policy direction on sustainable development and green transformation, HKPC has demonstrated its leadership in green technology by empowering enterprises to enhance resource efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and accelerate high-quality, sustainable growth through innovative technologies and professional support services.

Mr Yonghai DU, Chief Innovation Officer of HKPC said, “As industries worldwide accelerate their transition towards sustainability, green development is no longer an optional but a key driver of competitiveness and international market expansion. Enterprises must seize the opportunities arising from the convergence of green technologies and artificial intelligence to accelerate industrial upgrading and sustainable development. HKPC has been supporting enterprises in capturing new opportunities in the low-carbon economy through advanced green technologies, ESG data management solutions and industry support services. Looking ahead, HKPC will continue to promote the application of green technologies, support Hong Kong’s development as an international green technology hub, and inject new momentum into the development of new productive forces.”

Diverse Green Technology Innovations for Energy Transition, Circular Economy and Smart City Development
At ReThink HK 2026, HKPC and its Centre of Advanced Power and Autonomous Systems (APAS), showcased a range of advanced green technologies and innovative applications, spanning new energy, resource circularity, water environment management and smart property management. By integrating AI, robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies, HKPC demonstrated how R&D achievements can be translated into practical industrial applications. Through a portfolio of low-carbon, efficient and cost-effective solutions, HKPC helps enterprises strengthen their sustainability competitiveness.

New Energy Innovations: Accelerating Hydrogen, EV, and New Energy Industry Development

  • All Self-contained Mobile Hydrogen Station
Developed by APAS, the integrated mobile hydrogen refuelling station combines hydrogen production, storage and refuelling functions within a single system. Compared with conventional hydrogen refuelling stations, it offers higher efficiency, greater flexibility, enhanced safety and lower deployment costs, supporting the practical adoption of hydrogen energy solutions.
  • IsoGel-TNE: The Next-Generation Phase Change Nanoemulsion Based Thermal Management Platform Technology
This next-generation thermal management technology uses innovative phase-change nanoemulsion materials to provide efficient cooling and energy-saving performance for electric vehicle batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, high-power electronics and smart HVAC systems. The platform delivers high latent heat storage capacity with low viscosity and energy-efficient production.
  • Lithium Battery Recycling Technology
The closed-loop lithium battery recycling technology efficiently recovers valuable battery materials including cathodes, anodes, aluminium foil, copper foil and separators with minimal chemical consumption and low carbon emissions. The technology promotes resource circularity while addressing the growing challenge of battery waste management.

Circular Economy: Enhancing Environmental Management with AI and Low-Carbon Technologies

  • AquaShield Intelligence
AquaShield Intelligence integrates solar-powered monitoring buoys, cloud services and AI-powered analytics for real-time water quality monitoring and predictive analysis. By identifying water quality deterioration trends and issuing actionable alerts, the system helps safeguard aquaculture operations and marine environments against ecological risks such as algal blooms.
  • “ANC” Advanced Wastewater Treatment System
The proprietary Anammox-Chemical Co-Treatment Process effectively treats industrial wastewater with high ammonia and hard-to-degrade pollutants while significantly reducing environmental impact. Compared with conventional treatment methods, the system can reduce power consumption by approximately 85%, lower carbon emissions by up to 90%, and decrease operating costs by around 75%.
  • Food AI Genie
Food AI Genie combines mechanical crushing with AI-powered impurity removal technology to convert food waste into slurry for efficient transport and recycling. The solution reduces collection frequency to one or two times per week and lowers transportation costs by 40% to 70%, supporting food waste valorisation into biogas and compost while advancing a circular economy.

PropTech Management: Enhancing Facility Maintenance Efficiency through Robotics

  • Tank Genie
Tank Genie, a finalist of the R&D 100 Awards 2026, is an innovative ultra-compact water tank cleaning robot that transforms conventional maintenance practices through remote operation, simultaneous cleaning and sludge extraction, and digital monitoring capabilities. By eliminating the need for workers to enter confined spaces, the system enhances occupational safety while driving the development of smart property management.
