HKPC Launches The Best Brand Enterprise Award 2005

To recognize the outstanding achievements of Hong Kong and Guangdong enterprises in brand building and management, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) today (15 December 2005) announced the launch of The Best Brand Enterprise Award 2005.

Highlighting the significance of brand building and management in the international business arena, Mr Joseph Poon, General Manager (CEPA Business Development & IP) of HKPC said, "While the implementation of CEPA has offered new business opportunities for Hong Kong and Mainland companies, the establishment of branding is one of the key factors for an enterprise to stay in the forefront of competition in the globalized economy."

"The Best Brand Enterprise Award 2005 aims to recognize outstanding achievements of Hong Kong and Guangdong enterprises in brand building and management, setting benchmarks for other industry players in their pursuit of brand excellence," he said.

Entries of The Best Brand Enterprise Award will be judged according to five criteria, including organizational growth and self development, brand management and further development, corporate strategy and management decision making system, leadership and corporate culture, as well as corporate change management and learning development. The winning companies will be honoured at an award presentation ceremony in April 2006.

All enterprises registered in Hong Kong or Guangdong, with headquarters in either region and offering services or products to the market before 1 January 2003, are eligible for entry.

Entry forms are now available from the website: www.hkpc.org/brandenterprise. The closing date for application is 15 February 2006.
