HKPC Showcases Creative Solutions at Innovation & Design Expo

Local enterprises looking for ways to enhance their innovation and competitiveness can get the solutions from the HKPC Pavilion, now staging at the Innovation & Design Expo (ID Expo) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 29 November to 1 December 2006.

Organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) under the theme of "Your Partner in Innovation and Productivity", the Pavilion features HKPC's innovative services and products in five zones, namely Intellectual Property (IP) Management and Branding, Innovative Manufacturing Technology, E-learning, Innovative Product Design, and Cleaner Production.

Highlighting the significance of innovation in the international business arena, Dr Stephen Lee, Acting Executive Director of HKPC, said, "Innovation and design are the key elements of value-creation for both the manufacturing and service sectors in today's competitive environment."

"As industry's partner in innovation and productivity over the past four decades, HKPC strives to help local companies leverage on innovation and design as strategic tools to enhance their competitiveness," he continued. "The HKPC Pavilion showcases our one-stop design services ranging from innovative product design, to the development of industry-specific CAD/CAM/CAE Systems, rapid prototyping and precision tooling technologies, IP management and branding, and the adoption of innovation methodologies."

Apart from technology demonstration and presentation by HKPC consultants, the Pavilion also features exhibits on HKPC's latest environmental management systems, including the Dual Membrane Waste Water Treatment System and In-Situ Food Waste Conversion System; and the Automotive Lighting and Illumination Parts Optical developed by CAE technology. Visitors can also check out the online demonstration of the game-based e-learning platform – the 'eeLearn Gameboard'.
