The Best Brand Enterprise Award 2007 (Greater China) Invites Entries

To recognize the outstanding achievements of enterprises in brand building and management, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) today (6 December 2006) announced the launch of The Best Brand Enterprise Award 2007 (Greater China).

Mr Joseph Poon, General Manager (CEPA Business Development & IP) of HKPC said, "With the implementation of CEPA and the 11th Five-Year Plan, brand building and management is gaining increasing importance. Enterprises need to leverage on branding to enhance their competitiveness in both the Mainland and world markets."

"Following the success of the Best Brand Enterprise Award 2006, this year's Award Scheme has been extended to include the Greater China region, including the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan."

Entries of The Best Brand Enterprise Award will be judged according to five criteria, including organizational growth and self development, corporate strategy and management decision making system, leadership and corporate culture, corporate innovation management as well as corporate brand building and management.

Enterprises registered and with headquarters in the Greater China region, and have been in operation on or before 1 January 2004, are eligible for entry.

Entry forms are now available from the website: www.hkpc.org/brandenterprise, or at HKPC's office in Kowloon Tong. The closing date for application is 15 February 2007.

The Best Brand Enterprise Award 2007 (Greater China) is jointly organized by HKPC and China Trademark Association, and co-organized by Chinese Well-known Mark Magazine. Supporting organizations of the Award Scheme include the Innovation and Technology Commission, Trade and Industry Department, and Intellectual Property Department of the HKSAR Government; Office of the Government of the HKSAR in Beijing, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office of the HKSAR Government in Guangdong, Shanghai and Chengdu, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Brand Development Council, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Association, Hong Kong Brands Protection Alliance, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Hong Kong Design Centre, Hong Kong Institute of Marketing, Victoria Junior Chamber and Macau Productivity & Technology Transfer Centre.
