HKPC Welcomes Recommendations to Promote Six Economic Areas

The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) welcomes the recommendations of the Task Force on Economic Challenges (TFEC) to promote the development of the six economic areas for Hong Kong.

Mr Wilson Fung, Executive Director of HKPC, said, "The TFEC has outlined a wide spectrum of initiatives to drive the long-term development of Hong Kong, enhancing the competitiveness of local industry in the Mainland and overseas market. I believe that these proposed measures, in particular, those related to testing and certification, the environmental industry, innovation and technology; and cultural and creative industries, would be warmly welcomed by the industry.”

"HKPC will work closely with the relevant industries to explore the new business opportunities created by the Government's proposals. We would also continue to play our industry support role to provide the necessary technology upgrading and consultancy services, enabling the businesses concerned to take advantage of these new opportunities,” Mr Fung added.
