New Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre Ltd. appointed

The Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre Ltd. (APAS) announced today (23 November) the appointment of Dr. Ying Yang as its new CEO.

The appointment was approved by the Board of the Company based on the recommendation of a Recruitment Panel specifically formed for this recruitment exercise. The Panel was chaired by Dr TL Ng, Chairman of the Board. Dr. Ying Yang will serve a term of two years with effect from 23 November 2009.

A veteran engineer in the international automotive arena, Dr. Ying Yang has served in various major automotive organizations in the USA, prior to joining APAS, from which he has obtained the credentials of an experienced engineering specialist in various automotive industry programmes.

The Board of APAS trusts that the technical expertise as well as management experience of Dr. Ying Yang would help to lead APAS move to the next stage of development and enhance the competitiveness of the local automotive parts and accessories industries.

Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre Ltd. (APAS) was established on 31 March 2006 by the HKSAR Government under the Hong Kong R&D Centre Programme to undertake market-led R&D programmes and commercialize their results for the development of the automotive parts and accessories industries.
