HKPC Wins 2012 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises Award

The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) took home the prestigious 2012 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Award, presented in Seoul, South Korea, yesterday (11 October 2012). The panel of Asian Fortune 500 senior executives and internationally recognized intellectual capital management (ICM) experts has recognized HKPC for developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership.

Mrs Agnes Mak, Executive Director of HKPC, received the award at the Presentation Ceremony at the 13th World Knowledge Forum in Seoul, where she also introduced HKPC’s award-winning knowledge management (KM) and ICM strategies.

Mrs Mak said, “Human and intellectual capital is the cornerstone of HKPC’s corporate values. Winning the 2012 Asian MAKE Award is indeed a recognition of our dedication to implement a comprehensive KM strategy to generate values for our stakeholders.”

“With this KM strategy, HKPC can systematically capture and transfer the knowledge of our professional consultants to sustain our continuous support to the industry. It also enables us to better integrate our multi-disciplinary expertise for developing and providing total solutions to the industry, and swiftly respond to market changes and deliver innovative solutions and support.”

The annual Asian MAKE Award recognizes knowledge-driven organizations for their ability to leverage organizations’ knowledge to deliver superior performance in the areas of innovation, operational effectiveness and excellence in products and services. There are 26 winners this year, who were chosen from 37 finalists representing organisations headquartered in Asia. HKPC qualified as a finalist for the Asian MAKE Award, having earlier won one of top three places of the Hong Kong MAKE Award 2012.

HKPC will share the experience of participation in the Award with the industry. Based on the assessment criteria of the MAKE framework, HKPC will step up its consultancy services to help more local businesses to achieve enhanced competitiveness through enterprise innovation.
