HKPC Welcomes CE's Plan to Support a Start-up Culture and Re-industrialization

The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) welcomes the Chief Executive's initiative to establish an Inno Space, announced in the 2017 Policy Address today (18 January 2017), to foster a culture of creativity and innovation in the community. The initiative will be conducive to raising the overall competitiveness of Hong Kong.

Mr Willy Lin, Chairman of HKPC, said, "The set up of an Inno Space with HKPC will contribute to industrial diversification and promote re-industrialization in Hong Kong."

Mr Lin said, "Inno Space will provide a platform to facilitate the sharing of practical technologies and skills to start-up companies in realizing their innovative ideas into product prototypes or commercialization-ready products. The initiative is in line with HKPC’s continuous efforts to support the long term development of local industries through technology transfer and knowledge sharing."

HKPC will fully support and work closely with the Innovation and Technology Bureau to establish the Inno Space and introduce various support programmes.
