HKPC Garners International Accreditations from Two Major Accountancy Bodies for its Outstanding Employee and Talent Development Programmes

(Hong Kong, 22 June 2021) The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has recently received two international accreditations for talent development: the “Recognised Employer Partner” (REP) accreditation from CPA Australia (CPAA) and the “Approved Employer Accreditation – Professional Development” from the United Kingdom’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). These accreditations are proof that HKPC’s internal training and talent development programmes for nurturing a new generation of InnoTalent are of international standard.

CPAA’s REP status recognises HKPC’s excellence in upskilling its workforce and providing top-quality work and training environments. HKPC staff with CPAA and/or ACCA membership will automatically receive training hours for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited by their respective bodies from participating in HKPC’s in-house training. The accreditations serve as endorsement of HKPC’s efforts in offering high-quality internal training to staff, enhancing staff creativity and productivity, and cultivating young talents.

Ms Eliza Ng, Chief People and Culture Officer of HKPC, is delighted to see HKPC’s efforts in talent development being recognised by two major accountancy bodies. She said, “HKPC has been committed to becoming the incubator of innovation and technology (I&T) talents and leaders in Hong Kong. These accolades demonstrate HKPC’s outstanding achievements in offering high-quality internal training and staff development opportunities and are greatly encouraging for us to plan our future talent-training frameworks.”

She continued, “As Hong Kong enters the post-pandemic era, it is essential to strengthen the creativity and competitiveness of employees for achieving productivity excellence, and that is why HKPC will continue to invest in employee development and provide high-standard programmes for our staff to regularly update and strengthen their professional knowledge. As HKPC takes on the social mission to nurture I&T talents for Hong Kong, we will further our collaboration with local universities and organisations to offer various on-the-job training programmes with an aim to foster Hong Kong’s I&T development.”
