Holistic Care for “Body, Soul and Spirit” via Gerontechnology Awareness

Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will showcase the latest co-developed Gerontechnology (GeronTech) at the GeronTech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES) 2023 to promote ageing-in-place and health equality among the elderly in Hong Kong. We will also initiate a multi-disciplinary forum for further co-operation, co-building and co-creation with the public and members in the Gerontechnology ecosystem.

  • HKPC aims to achieve holistic care for “Body, Soul and Spirit” via Gerontechnology. Via careful considerations of the design process and human computer interactions, Gerontechnology could possibly assist in independent living and social participation of the elderly for good health, comfort and safety. HKPC will exhibit Gerontechnology at the GIES on 23-26 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) corresponding to the theme of holistic care.

  • The co-creation of Gerontechnology requires medical-social-industry collaboration. Incorporating user perspectives into Gerontechnology solutions can help improve the overall effectiveness of the solutions. HKPC will organise a half-day forum in mid-March 2024* (*tentative) which covers cross-multidisciplinary dialogues on “The Elderly Health Issues Concerning the Body, Soul and Spirit”. We hope the forum will inspire further local development of Gerontechnology to help the grassroots elderly age gracefully.
