(Hong Kong, 29 December 2023) While society is gradually returning to normalcy, the overall business atmosphere for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong still remains fragile. The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) announced to extend its series of special relief measures for local SMEs, aimed at accelerating their recovery, boosting their competitiveness and capitalising on new opportunities through advanced technologies. HKPC will continue to offer half-price concessions for Hong Kong SMEs*. The special offer will apply to consultancy projects as well as testing services from 1 January 2024 to 31 March 2025. Details are as follows:
Mr Mohamed BUTT, Executive Director of HKPC, said, “HKPC has always been the strongest supporter of the business sector. We hope the relief measures can benefit SMEs and meet their timely needs. Through the extension of the relief measures, continued support is expected to be given to SMEs amidst the economic uncertainties. HKPC will continue to work closely with the HKSAR Government and providing diversified consultancy and support services to address industry pain points while developing Hong Kong into an international innovation and technology (I&T) centre and a smart city. By continuously enhancing investments in research and development (R&D), it is important to guide the transformation and commercialisation of R&D outcomes and the industrial development of I&T. It allows citizens to benefit tangibly from I&T, provides them with a great sense of fulfilment, and collectively build a better future.”
