HKPC Extends Half-Price Concessions Measures for SMEs to Seize on New Opportunities and Revitalise Hong Kong Economy

(Hong Kong, 29 September 2022) Despite the improving epidemic situation, the business environment in Hong Kong remains challenging. The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) announced to extend its series of special relief measures for local SMEs to accelerate their recovery, boost their competitiveness and seize on new opportunities by advanced technologies. It will continue to offer half-price concessions for Hong Kong SMEs*. The special offer will apply to consultancy projects as well as testing services from 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023. Details are as follows:

  • 50% concession to the list price of labour portion for consultancy services (excluding consultancy services under government funding schemes);
  • 50% concession to the list price of labour portion for testing services;

Mr Mohamed Butt, Executive Director of HKPC said, “With the gradual lifting of the anti-epidemic measures by the HKSAR Government, SMEs are gearing up for the relaxation of travel restrictions and re-engaging external business ties. HKPC has always been the strongest supporter of the business sector. We hope the relief measures can benefit SMEs and meet their timely needs. We will continue to deploy advanced technology to help the industry in technology and process upgrading, promoting reindustrialisation and helping innovative industries to leverage new technologies for a new economy. HKPC will fully cooperate with the government in fostering the development of innovation and technology (I&T), and reindustrialisation in Hong Kong, enabling the city to become a popular international I&T hub.”
