HKPC Offers Half-Price Concessions Measures for SMEs to Tide Over the Financial Difficulties Transform Challenge to Opportunities

(Hong Kong, 1 March 2022) In view of unprecedented challenges posed to Hong Kong enterprises due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) announced to offer a series of special relief measures of half-price concessions for Hong Kong SMEs*. The special offer will apply to all new R&D and consultancy projects, testing services as well as HKPC venue charges from 1 March 2022 to 30 September 2022. Details are as follows:

  • 50% concession to the list price of labour portion for R&D and consultancy services (excluding consultancy services under government funding schemes);
  • 50% concession to the list price of labour portion for testing services;
  • 50% concession to the HKPC venue charges.

Mr Mohamed Butt, Executive Director of HKPC said, “HKPC does not stand down from forging ahead with SMEs throughout the epidemic. We hope such relief measures can bring benefits to SMEs and provide them with timely and appropriate assistance to ride out the storm and overcome the business challenges. HKPC will continue to offer comprehensive technical support, fund matching, and research and development talent training for enterprises to raise their competitiveness, enabling them to get well-prepared for the digital era and global economic recovery in the future.”
