2007 Hong Kong Awards for Industries: Productivity & Quality Category Invites Entries

Local enterprises with outstanding achievements in productivity performance and quality management are invited to enter the 2007 Hong Kong Awards for Industries: Productivity and Quality Category, organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC).

Productivity and Quality is one of the seven categories of the Hong Kong Awards for Industries, an awards scheme launched in 2005 by merging the former Hong Kong Awards for Industry and Hong Kong Awards for Services. Championed by the HKSAR Government, the awards scheme aims to recognize the performance excellence of Hong Kong enterprises in their move towards higher technology and higher value-added activities.

Under the Productivity and Quality category, there are three classes of awards, namely Productivity and Quality Grand Award, Productivity and Quality Awards and Productivity and Quality Certificates of Merit.

Entries will be assessed according to a set of criteria covering leadership and strategic planning, customer and market management, innovation and creativity, excellence management and improvement system, resource management, as well as business results. The winning companies will be honoured at an awards presentation ceremony on 23 January 2008.

Entry forms are now available from the website of the Awards Scheme at: www.hkindustryaward.org. The closing date for application is 3 August 2007.
