HKPC Survey: SMEs Optimistic but not Without Worries

<p>Local SMEs expected average turnover growth of 2.5% for 2008 as 81% expressed optimism on the long-term business climate, according to a survey conducted by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) in November 2007.<br /><br />However, commenting on the findings of the "Business Operating Environment Index for SMEs" survey for the fourth quarter of 2007, Dr Vincent Li, General Manager (Productivity Training Institute) of HKPC, said many were worried about the short-term climate.

HKPC Announces Closure of CTDC

<p class="content">The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) announced at its Council meeting today (17 July 2007) the closure of the Clothing Technology Demonstration Centre Company Ltd (CTDC), a subsidiary company of HKPC. CTDC would cease to operate on 31 October 2007. <br /><br />Following the review of the roles and functions of CTDC, its Board of Directors concluded that there was a substantial and continuous decline in industry's demand for real-time demonstration of clothing technologies, which was the public mission of the CTDC.

<p>二十件香港軟件產品成功入選廣東省政府的《Linux軟硬件產品推薦目錄》。該《目錄》是廣東省政府採購的依據之一,業界表示,是次申請成功率達九成,這個佳績對他們開拓內地軟件市場起著鼓舞作用。<br /><br />廣 東省政府於2005年首次進行《Linux軟硬件產品推薦目錄》的編輯工作,當時只接受內地企業參加測試和評審。為協助香港軟件商開拓內地市場,特別是華 南地區的商機,香港資訊科技商會去年成功為香港科技公司爭取參加《Linux軟硬件產品推薦目錄》的資格,並獲得香港特別行政區政府資訊科技總監辦公室資 助。這個項目的執行機構為香港生產力促進局(生產力局)。<br /><br />香港資訊科技商會會長吳志成表示,是次香港企業獲得佳績,對本港軟件界開拓華南 市場有鼓勵作用。他說:「2006年的《目錄》於去年9月展開徵集。我們收到15間本港公司及機構,總共22項軟件產品的申請。據廣東省政府在今年4月公 佈的測試結果,共有20個香港軟件產品獲通過審批。」<br /><br />生產力局總經理(資訊科技業發展)容啟泰表示:「作為這個項目的執行機構,生產力局 積極向本港軟件業界推廣參與有關計劃,以晉身《目錄》內,爭取商機。除舉辦介紹會加強業界對這項目的認識外,我們還負責統籌產品徵集及申請工作。

<p>香港特別行政區政府環境保護署及機電工程署、香港生產力促進局(生產力局)、香港汽車會、香港駕駛學院及汽車維修管理協會將於二○○七年三月二、五及七日合辦一系列免費「環保駕駛講座」,旨在提高駕駛人士的環保意識。<br /><br />生產力局總經理(環境管理)曾錦林表示:「香港汽車廢氣污染所引起的環境問題日趨嚴重,如處理不善,會令本港的競爭力受損。環保駕駛不但可減少車輛污染物的排放及對環境所造成的空氣污染問題,亦可減省車主的燃油及其他日常支出。」<br /><br />曾錦林補充說:「環保駕駛講座特別為本地職業司機、車主及車隊運作管理人員而設,目的是提倡正確及環保的駕駛方法,例如節省資源的措施等,並講解如何透過適當的維修保養方法,減少使用燃油及造成污染。」<br /><br />「環保駕駛講座」內容包括環保駕駛的概念與技術、車輛維修和保養、省油駕駛、車輛廢氣管制的有關法例、車輛廢氣的影響,以及增進運輸業能源效益的措施。<br /><br />三場講座將於生產力大樓演講廳舉行,入場費用全免。

<p class="content">為加強本港製造業對將於今年三月一日在內地實施的《電子信息產品污染控制管理辦法》之認識,香港生產力促進局(生產力局)今日(二○○七年一月六日)舉辦「中國RoHS政策及三個最新標準介紹會」,共有二百多位本港電子及電器製造業界代表出席。<br /><br />《電子信息產品污染控制管理辦法》主要是針對在中國境內生產、銷售及進口的電子信息產品,控制及減少其對環境造成污染。《電子信息產品污染控制管理辦法》影響共十一類電子信息產品,及要求產品生產商於產品加上合適的標籤。<br /><br />在 介紹會上,國家信息產業部經濟體制改革與經濟運行司楊檬講解了《電子信息產品污染控制管理辦法》的詳情,及於二○○六年十一月六日頒布的三個最新標準 -《電子信息產品中有害物質的限量要求》、《電子信息產品污染控制標識要求》及《電子信息產品中限用物質的檢測方法》。而生產力局的專家亦介紹了 QC080000 IECQ有害物質流程管理及RoHS DMS 文件管理系統,以協助業界實施全面跟蹤及「合理步驟」管理。<br /><br />生產力局副 總裁(產品發展)李錫勳博士在會上表示,《電子信息產品污染控制管理辦法》對本港電子業有重大影響。
